Experience the Joy of

Infant Massage

Classes as of August 2009 - please call Eclipse Massage & Beauty for further details

Massage therapy is one of the oldest forms of treatment in the world.  Infant Massage plays a vital role in further developing the closeness between a parent and their child.

Eye and skin contact, smell, smiles and soothing vocal sounds are all essential elements which are covered during the Infant Massage course.  With the nurturing touch of Infant Massage you are reinforcing the feelings of trust and respect between you and your baby.

Some of the benefits of Infant Massage for baby are:

  • Improved sleep patterns
  • Relief from the distress of wind, colic and constipation using soothing strokes
  • Strengthens immune system functions which will increase the resistance to illness
  • Heightens alertness and sociability when your baby is awake

There are a number of benefits for parents and the entire family.

The Infant Massage course runs for 4 weeks each week being a hour session.  The course is conducted in our Studio room at Eclipse Massage & Beauty.  Ages for infant massage range from 3 months to 4 years.  During this time you will learn massage strokes and partake in a number of discussions relating to the development of your baby. These range from the importance of fathers being involved with the babies care, reading babies cues, identifying different cries and many more topics.

If you are interested in participating in the course please call Neysa Murphy, Infant Massage Instructor, at Eclipse Massage & Beauty on 03-9704 0761.
